Hi everyone! I was in Paris last weekend and whilst over there, I just couldn’t resist having a “quick peek” in the Sephora flagship store in Champs Élysées . For those who haven’t been into Sephora before, it is a giant cosmetics chain that features around 300 brands, along with its own-brand label – Sephora. It sells beauty products including makeup, skincare, fragrance, nail colour and haircare (ie/ it’s heaven for beauty and skincare junkies like me!)
Fortunately, I didn’t do too much damage to my purse-strings and only bought a few select items.
So, here are the goodies….
Givenchy Mister Radiant Bronzer Gel (Sample) around £30 for 30ml – This is a transparent face gel that contains three coloured microspheres that blend together to give you a luminous glow. It is the brown and light microspheres that contains the pigment to give you the glow; and the dark-yellow microspheres contain Vitamin E to help protect the skin. It’s very light in texture and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and cool it felt when I applied it on, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or oily. The only thing I dislike about this bronzer is that much of the application depends on the number of beads you get per application, I felt I had to apply a lot just to get a result on my tanned skin (I’ve already used a third of the tube in just one use!). Apart from that, I like the scent and the natural glow it gives you. I probably wouldn’t buy the full sized-version of this as it’s a bit pricey, and it wouldn’t last long with me since I would have to use a lot each time.
Chloé Rollerball Parfum in Love Story (around £16 for 10ml) – I saw this whilst I was queuing up for the cashier and love how I can pop this in all my handbags including the small ones that can just about fit my iPhone 6. I prefer this to the original Chloé parfum as I really like the combination of floral-jasmine with a hint of a fresh fruity scent. It’s a girly and bold fragrance that’s great for day and night, and I find it long-lasting (I can still smell it even after a shower).
Givenchy Le Rouge Couleur Intense in Nude Guipure – Engraved with Heather Lee (around £27) – This is my favourite purchase from this haul as nothing beats a lipstick that is engraved with your own name! It is the most luxurious lipstick I own and it is encased in a genuine leather case. The colour is a beautiful nude pink-brown, perfect for everyday wear. It literally glides on like a dream, leaving a semi-matte finish, I don’t even need a mirror to apply it on. It leaves your lips feeling amazingly soft and smooth. I’m pleasantly surprised by how long the colour lasts, definitely recommend this.
Givenchy Dahlia Divin Parfum (Sample) around £68 for 50ml – I am glad I received this for my sample because it’s a very beautiful fragrance and long-lasting. It’s sexy, feminine and elegant, and not too over-powering. With jasmine, woody and fruity notes, it is a timeless perfume and I’m trying to stretch this sample out for as long as I can!
Givenchy L’intemporel Global Youth Divine Rich Cream (Sample) around £100 for 50ml – This is part L’Intemporel range which is a luxurious collection to help your skin glow with youth. The Divine Rich Cream claims to protect your skin from signs of aging by smoothing out lines and improves the skins elasticity. I am prone to having really dry skin especially in the cold weather and this is perfect for me to use right now. The cream feels rich but not too heavy where it leaves my skin greasy or oily, and a little really does go a long way. It’s very nourishing and leaves my skin with a silky soft texture, definitely a winner.
Sephora Mango Bubble Bath & Shower Gel (around £10) – This is from Sephora’s own label and the fun bottle caught my eye. They do different flavours and colours but I chose Mango as it is one of my favourite fruits, the smell is just mouth-watering! It can be used as a bubble bath or a shower gel and it claims to be a 2-in-1 cleanser containing Vitamin E to soften the skin, as well as protecting the skin from wrinkles and blemishes. It’s suitable for all skin types.
Givenchy Teint Couture Fluid Foundation SPF 20 in Elegant Beige (Sample) around £39 for 0.8 oz – This is super lightweight and I love how smooth and blendable it is. It contains light-reflecting particles to give a natural looking radiance and I love how it stayed on all day without touch-ups. The rest of my make up stayed on really well too even in today’s hot weather! It also contains Vitamin E to help protect the skin and SPF 20 which is a big plus because I’m all about the SPF!
So that is my haul guys and I hope you found it useful. If you like to check out my weekend in Paris, you can check out the blog here.
