For anyone who doesn’t already know, the Korean skincare and beauty is becoming more and more popular in the UK which I am extremely excited about. TONYMOLY is without a doubt one of my favourite Korean brands for skincare and beauty. With their cute packaging and unique ingredients, I couldn’t help but stock up on some of my favourite items while I was in Hong Kong (click here to read my travel guide on what to do and see in Hong Kong). On top of that, my friend kindly gifted me a few other items which I absolutely adore hence they are included in this little haul.
Petite Bunny Gloss Bars, £7 each – www.cultbeauty.co.uk
These uber-cute lip stains are available in three colours, and smell exactly like fruity strawberry sweets. I have been given #1 Juicy Strawberry and #5 Juicy Peach, these are so easy to wear and I love the subtle pink and peach sheens. They contain skin-conditioning ingredients to leave the lips super soft and well hydrated.
Banana Hand Milk, £9.50 – www.selfridges.com
Yes, this hand cream really is in a a life-like shape of a banana! Although it says Hand Milk, the texture is actually more of a lotion-y feel. Once dispensed out onto the skin, there is an overpowering banana smell but luckily this doesn’t bother me. The cream is light and absorbs quickly into the skin. I don’t think its the most hydrating lotion as I have to reapply around 2-3 times a day to keep hands soft, so if you suffer from extremely dry skin then this wouldn’t be the most effective.
Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm, £20 – www.selfridges.com
This was on sale for half price and I thought why not? I had seen this in Selfridges in the UK a while back and was intrigued to find out what this golden egg did. This claims to be the perfect primer for visible pores, smoothes out complexion and helps to keep makeup looking matte. I use different skin primers but I don’t have any that reduces large pores. Also, the texture is a hard smooth paste as opposed to liquid formulas that I’m used to. I really like the silky texture as it glides onto the skin, it’s easy to blend and it creates a nice canvas for my face before putting on my foundation and the rest of my makeup.
The Black Tea Nutrition & Moisture Mask Sheet – currently unavailable to purchase on-line
This is the only mask out of the haul that I have yet to try. This comes as a single sheet, and claims to be super moisturising. It contains 100% black tea extract which can help soothe and freshen up the skin to give that radiant glow.
Intense Care Snail Hydrogel Mask, £19.85 for 5pcs – www.yesstyle.co.uk
These were on 50% sale for a pack of ten, it seemed rude not to purchase them(!) These are one of my all time favourites and has a luxurious feel to my daily mask sheets. I use these to give my skin a boost to moisturise my skin and for extra nourishment. These masks come in two sections, one for the top part of the face and the other for the lower part which I find better to fit my facial contours.
Intense Care Gold 24k Snail Hydro Gel Mask, around £20 – www.amazon.com
These were also on 50% sale for a pack of ten so I can now say I am fully stocked up on snail masks. Similar to the Snail Hydro Gel Masks, these contain 24K gold, ginseng extracts and Epidermal Growth Factor. I would say these are more intensive that the standard Hydro Gel masks, giving the skin more resilience and elasticity as well as keeping it super hydrated. I like to use these a few days before a special occasion
Luxury Gem Gold 24k Mask – contains 100 ppm of pure gold, around £20 – www.amazon.com
This luxurious cream came free when I purchased a pack of Snail Hydro Gel Masks, valued at around $38.00 USD I thought this was fantastic freebie(!) It is a wash-off mask that contains 24K gold that helps to improve elasticity and radiance. It also contains snail extract, caviar extract and honey.
Have you used TONYMOLY before? I’d love to hear what you think.
